Parent Club - Rotary Club of Delhi Heights
Rotaract Club of New Delhi falls under the umbrella of Rotary International District 3011. The club was chartered on 19th February, 2009. The Club is a youth wing of Rotary Club of Delhi Heights.
Rotaract Club of New Delhi has conducted several flagship projects over the years such as Dhanak, Jalsa, Bandhan, Acts of Kindness, Prastavana, Deep, Core Seminar Training, Unbox Happiness, Musafir and Bezubaan.
Up until 2024, we have showcased our dedication in creating meaningful change by mirroring the core values and goals of Rotary international.
Rotaract is the global movement of young leaders who are developing innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges. Rotaract clubs bring together people ages 18 and older to exchange ideas with leaders in the community, develop leadership and professional skills, and have fun through service.
The first Rotaract club was the Rotaract Club of North Charlotte in North Carolina, founded on March 13, 1968. Since then, Rotaract has grown into one of Rotary’s most significant and fastest-growing service programs.
Spark The Magic
Solidarity
From the earliest days of the organization, Rotarians were concerned with promoting high ethical standards in their professional lives. One of the world’s most widely printed and quoted statements of business ethics is The Four Way Test, which was created in 1932 by Rotarian Herbert J. Taylor (who later served as RI President) when he was asked to take charge of a company that was facing bankruptcy.
This 24-word test for employees to follow in their business and professional lives became the guide for sales, production, advertising, and all relations with dealers and customers, and the survival of the company is credited to this simple philosophy. Adopted by Rotary in 1943, The Four Way Test has been translated into more than a hundred languages and published in thousands of ways. It asks the following four questions of the things we think, say, or do:
Deep is a project where we sell beautifully crafted diyas, candles, and Diwali decoration items, made by special kids. The proceeds collected are given to these special kids
Dhanak is our adopted slum. In Dhanak, we teach underprivileged children some literacy and life skills and also do various fun activities and celebrate different festivals with them
Jalsa is a charity dandiya night filled with magic, joy and love held during the time of Navratri. The proceeds collected is donated to a charity working with children diagnosed with cancer (CanKids Kidscan Foundation)
"Journeying through Delhi's Heartbeat"
Musafir is a fellowship project where we travel and explore the magnificent beauty and significance of various places, landmarks and monuments of Delhi
Spanned over a period of 3 months, the project aims at performing 30 acts of kindness to spread love, compassion and encourage positivity among community members
Bezubaan is a year-long project in which we visit various NGOs to help the street animals (cows, dogs, and cats) by feeding and caring for them through visiting them and through conducting cloth donations
Bandhan echoes the essence of Raksha Bandhan by weaving together threads of hope and empowerment for a noble cause. The proceeds collected are donated to Udai NGO which works with children with special needs
Rotaract Club of New Delhi is a non-profit organization that connects youth while creating change.
